Who: Project Cornerstone trained ABC Readers will present a selected book & associated lesson plan to the children of Morgan Hill on the First Friday of Each Month. (4/7, 5/5, 6/2, 7/7 etc.)

BookSmart Community Advantage seeks to continue the bookstore’s youth-friendly programs a& atmosphere by offering Project Cornerstone to families of Morgan Hill who opt for home schooling or have their children enrolled in schools that do not have Project Cornerstone as part of their curriculum.
Where: BookSmart—1295 E. Dunne Ave., #120

When: The First Friday of each month—two sessions, 10am and 3pm.
How: Show up on time. Find a seat. Listen attentively. Learn about the common language of Project Cornerstone and engage in the
activities provided. Have Fun!

Why: Help you child to hone & nurture their Developmental Assets while listening to great literature & participating in fun activities that support their social-emotional growth. Project Cornerstone was founded after a survey showed that most youth in Santa Clara County were missing the positive relationships, opportunities, values, and skills, known collectively as “developmental assets,” that provide the foundation for a healthy, successful future. In general, the more developmental assets that young people possess, the more likely they’re to avoid risky behaviors & engage in positive, healthy activities.
